Today, I’d like to share one of my favourite words of wisdom on the topic of commitment. I’m sure most of us have experienced that rush of adrenaline and focus when we find ourselves fully committed to one person, an idea or a particular project.
‘Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back. Concerning all acts of initiative, there is one elemementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too.
All sorts of thing occur to help one that would never otherwise have occured. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would come his way.
Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it’ – William Murray
Is there a better quote on the importance of commitment?
